SoundChanger (forked from Mark Rosenfelder's SCA²)
[?]
This is a simple REGEX script that allows to check how good a given set of sound change
rules converts a given ancestor language into its descendant language.
As a default, 517 word pairs from Old High German and modern Standard German are supplied
for testing.
You can, however, easily replace the data with your own pair of ancestor and descendant
language.
The rules should be straightforward, since I tried to design them in such a way that they
look almost identical with rules in historical linguistics.
For details, you can further check
this document (originally a part of a lecture)
in which some more explanations are given (in German).
